Sacks Weston Diamond LLC is renowned throughout Philadelphia and the country
for being comprised of some of the top complex litigation attorneys in
the world. We are proud to announce that we have continued this tradition
of excellence through the 2016
Super Lawyers® list selections. Attorney Scott E. Diamond was named a
Super Lawyer® and Attorney D. Alexander Latanision was named a
Super Lawyer® Rising Star℠.
Attorney Scott E. Diamond has been selected to
Super Lawyers® for three consecutive years now (2014 to 2016). It is a testament to his
talents in litigation and law interpretation that he has accrued throughout
his career, which began decades ago. He has also been named a Top Rated
Lawyer in Personal Injury Law by
American Lawyer Media and Martindale-Hubbell®. Mr. Diamond’s personal case conclusion
record amounts to more than $100 million collected for clients in wide-scale
personal injury cases and mass torts; he is also the director of the firm’s
Attorney D. Alexander Latanision has been considered one of the best and brightest young minds in personal
injury litigation. It is only fitting, then, that he attained the 2016
Super Lawyers® Rising Stars℠, a group of attorneys who are all under 40 years old and have less than
10 years of practice under their belts. Less than 2.5% of all attorneys
in a particular state will be named as
Rising Stars℠, making this achievement truly remarkable. Even though he is relatively
new to the legal scene, Attorney Latanision has already made a name for
himself and has achieved millions of dollars for his clients through successful
verdicts and settlements.
Super Lawyers® Selection Process
Every attorney wants to be named a
Super Lawyer®, but the truth is only the top 5% of all lawyers in the country will be
able to earn this title each year. There is no buying the selection or
rigging the system.
Super Lawyers® has long been considered one of the best attorney-rating organizations
in the world for its professionalism, thoroughness, and unbiased reviews
of lawyers in all manners of legal practices.
The selection process begins with formal nominations sent in from peers
across the state. Lawyers may not nominate themselves and any nominations
given to other professionals in their own law firm are given less weight
in the selection process – one of the many ways
Super Lawyers® strives to be completely neutral. While more peer nominations means an
attorney is more likely to be reviewed, it is not the only measure
Super Lawyers® uses when selecting nominees.
The second step is researching an attorney’s history. Accreditations,
professional honors, and consistently positive case results will earn
the attorney more points. Through this part of the selection process,
Super Lawyers® may come across “smaller names,” such as truly remarkable
attorneys who take only a few cases per year within their own communities.
It is all to ensure that no one is overlooked and that the attorneys who
do make the final selection are
the best out there. In addition to thorough independent research and additional
peer evaluations, the
Super Lawyers® selection process runs the gamut of assessments.
Finally, the final nominees are arranged into four categories, based on
the size of their law firms. This prevents single-attorney firms from
having to compete with firms with more than 100 lawyers on staff. After
a last check for errors or discrepancies,
Super Lawyers® chooses and names the top 5% in each category for that year, printing
the names in several publications.
