Sacks Weston Diamond LLC is proud to announce the addition of Senator Daylin
Leach to its ranks as its ninth attorney! Senator Leach will serve as
an of-counsel lawyer with our firm, providing a considerable boost to
our strength in handling legal matters.
Prior to being elected to the General Assembly in 2002, Senator Leach earned
his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center in 1983 and served
as an attorney for 17 years. During his time as a private legal practitioner,
Senator Leach focused his practice on constitutional, personal injury,
corporate, criminal, and appellate litigation.
Since being elected to public service, Leach has done considerable work
in the areas of civil rights, education, environmental protection, health
care, and political reform. His notable accomplishments during his time
in politics include the passing of measures introducing hybrid cars to
the state fleet, providing breast and ovarian cancer screening for low-income
women, and authoring legislation that made Pennsylvania one of the leading
states in the nation fighting human trafficking.
Since 2008, he has served as the Minority Chairman of the Senate Judiciary
Committee and has represented portions of Montgomery and Delaware counties.
Through his passionate advocacy for marriage equality, environmental stewardship,
and campaign finance reform, Senator Leach quickly became known as a leading
progressive voice in the Pennsylvania legislature.
In 2016, Leach co-authored the now-passed bill legalizing medical marijuana
in Pennsylvania. Thanks to his considerable work and the lobbying of Attorney
Andrew Sacks, this legislation now allows individuals who are terminally
ill or suffer from other serious ailments such as parkinson’s disease,
cancer, multiple sclerosis, glaucoma, Crohn’s disease, or AIDS to
find relief from their symptoms through medicinal marijuana use. Our firm
is proud of Senator Leach’s accomplishments.
